Murphy Orchards - Picking Schedule

The orchards are closed for the season. However the Tea Rooms and Gift Shop are open so we look forward to seeing you.
We're sorry but there will be no peaches to pick this year. Plum Pox disease (not harmful to animals but disfiguring to fruit) has been found in Niagara County and as a result we have been quarantined (prohibited from planting new peach, plum, or cherry trees) for the past 8 years. Our peach orchard has simply become too old and we will not be able to produce more peaches until the quarantine is lifted. We will have nice local freestone peaches all during August and early September in the Country Barn Store. Please call ahead for large orders.
Hours of Operation
Our Online Store is open all year.
The Tea Room, Gift Store, Country Barn Store, and Historical Exhibits are open April 1st - December 31st.
Country Barn Store:
9:00 am to 6:00 pm everyday, including holidays
The Orchard Tea Rooms and Gift Shop:
11:00 am to 4:00 pm Tuesday through Sunday, closed Monday
2011 PICKING SCHEDULE
All dates are approximate. Picking information is updated daily in season. You are welcome to e-mail or call us at (716) 778-7926 for more information. All fruit and vegetables are available Fresh-Picked or Pick-Your-Own. Please call ahead for large, already-picked orders. During the season, we are open for picking every day (including holidays) from 9:00 in the morning until 6:00 in the evening.
If you are concerned about the weather, please call us at 716-778-7926 before changing your plans - it is often beautiful and sunny here when it is raining in Buffalo.

BLACK SWEET CHERRIES - Royaltons, Bings, Black Ox-Hearts, and Black Windsors (in order of their ripening). All very similar: big, black in color, and very sweet

QUEEN ANNE, SWEET CHERRIES - Red on the outside, white on the inside. Firm, flavorful, not quite as sweet as black cherries, but very good for freezing and canning.
